2019 Board Nominations

Members interested in a volunteer position on our Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee can contact Natalie B. at (626) 445-0950, ext. 6201, no later than Friday, Feb. 1, 2019.

The following Foothill members have been nominated for election to the Board of Directors in 2019.


Marc Chaldu

Mr. Chaldu has been a member of Foothill since 2011. He served on the Credit Union Supervisory Committee from 2011 to 2015, for which he was elected to the Board of Directors. He has served in the Secretary role for the Credit Union Supervisory Committee and has been serving as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the past two years.  Mr. Chaldu has completed NCUA Supervisory Committee Training Modules along with Compliance training through the Credit Union. He is currently a resident of Upland.

Mr. Chaldu is in his ninth year as the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services for the Glendora Unified School District.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside.  In 2002 he started his public education career in the classroom then transitioned into district office responsibilities.  Mr. Chaldu is currently the President of the East San Gabriel Joint Powers Authority and is one of the Directors on the Glendora Redevelopment Oversight Board.  He is also currently Glendora Rotary Club President.

Fred Weiss

Mr. Weiss has been a member of FFCU since 1986. He served on the Supervisory Committee from 1991 through 1992. Mr. Weiss was elected to the Board of Directors in 1993. He has served as Board Liaison to the Supervisory Committee. Mr. Weiss has completed the entire Volunteer Achievement Program and was awarded its highest award, The Alphonse Desjardins Certificate. He is a resident of Porter Ranch.

Mr. Weiss is presently an Independent Business Consultant. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Business Administration from Cal State Northridge. He served on the Board of Directors of his Homeowners Association between 1983 and 1987. In addition, Mr. Weiss served on the Board of Directors of Business Industry Development Corporation (BIDCO) from 1982 to 1987. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Rosemead Chamber of Commerce from 1986 to 1989.
