Auto Loan FAQs

No, there are no fees for paying off your loan early.

Your credit history, assets, and vehicle price may impact your approval of an auto loan.

 

Your auto loan rate is based on the following:

  • Your credit history
  • The vehicle age
  • The length of your loan term
  • The loan to value (LTV) on the vehicle

 

Credit Card FAQs

You'll automatically earn points when you use your Foothill Platinum Rewards Mastercard®.

You earn one point for every dollar spent on eligible purchases. Only signature-based Mastercard transactions will earn points. We keep track of all the points you’ve earned and update them within two business days. You can opt to receive e-statements and view your Foothill Rewards Credit Card account online.

They’re good for three (3) years from the month they’re earned. To see if you have any points expiring, visit Foothill's card reward site.

 

Redeem points by logging into your Foothill Online Banking account at www.foothillcu.org and clicking the “Card Rewards” tab. You can also call our Foothill Rewards Center at 1-888-807-3886. A knowledgeable representative will be ready to answer any questions, help you redeem your points, and provide information about the Foothill Rewards Program.

You can redeem your points for anything from gift cards to traveling to cash back. Just browse through your Foothill Rewards Page to see all of the things you can use your points for.

Don't forget; you can also combine the points earned from your Foothill Debit Mastercard and Foothill Platinum Rewards Mastercard for bigger and better rewards.

 

HELOC FAQs

Interest rates for Home Equity Lines and Loans are typically lower than for other forms of credit because your home is used as collateral – meaning the risk to a bank is less than with an unsecured loan.

Home Equity Loans and Lines can we used to finance almost anything, including home repairs or improvements, education, vehicles, second homes or consolidating higher interest rate balances.

You can borrow up to $500,000 through either a Home Equity Loan or HELOC.

Home Equity Loan interest and HELOC interest may be tax-deductible. Consult your tax advisor regarding tax deductibility.

No, there is no pre-payment penalty.

Yes. You can transfer any higher interest rate balances to your new Home Equity Line of Credit or Loan.

Online Banking FAQs

Very secure. Foothill uses state of the art network security to ensure the protection of your account information. Refer to our Security page for detailed information.

 

You can access all of your Foothill accounts with the exception of mortgages. Capability to view those types of accounts will be added in the future.

Yes, joint owners can access the account in the same way that you do. Please note that there is only one user ID and password allowed per Foothill account, so if you wish for your joint account holder to have online banking access to the account, give them your user ID and password after enrolling in online banking.

You can easily reset your password online, or by contacting us at (626) 445-0950. We can then re-set your user ID and password for you.

There are no limits on transfers from Credit Union checking accounts or lines of credit. However, federal regulations limit the number of electronic transfers from savings accounts to a maximum of six per month. The maximum of six includes electronic transfers made via other methods, such as FastTeller.
