Scholarship For Those That Make a Difference

The Foothill Impact Foundation believes education has the power to change lives. That's why the Career Advancement Scholarship helps make it easier to continue your education, develop new skills, and move confidently toward your future.

What You Need to Know About the Scholarship

The Foothill Impact Foundation awards $6,000 in scholarships to individuals seeking to pursue or advance a career in the education or medical field. Here's what you need to know about applying for this scholarship:

  • There are two scholarships worth $3,000 each––one for the educational field and the other for the healthcare field.
  • Be a resident of Southern California.
  • Be pursuing coursework, a certificate, credential, undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or other educational or medical program that advances their career in the field of education or healthcare.
  • Be enrolled or plan to attend an accredited college, university, or educational or medical program. Eligible applicants may attend school anywhere; attendance is not limited to Southern California.
  • Applications are accepted from August through October.
  • Submission deadline is Friday, October 16, 2026.
  • Chosen recipients will be notified by Friday, October 30, 2026.

 

ℹ️ What Does the Scholarship Application Consist Of?

  1. Short answer questions of 150 words or less.
  2. Letters of support from a supervisor or professional colleague typed on company letterhead.
  3. Letters of support can be emailed to Foothill Credit Union at [email protected] or mailed to Foothill Credit Union at P.O. Box 660130, Arcadia CA 91066-0130, attention Foothill Impact Foundation.
  4. Activities and Recognitions.
  5. Document showing information about the certificate, accreditation or training you plan to achieve. All parts of the application may be typed on a separate sheet of paper, if desired. All required information must be included (see forms for details). PLEASE DO NOT STAPLE.

NOTE: Please mail or email your application and all your forms in at one time. Foothill Impact Foundation will add your letters of support from your supervisor or professional colleague to your scholarship packet once they are received.
 


🏅 Scholarship Committee

Applications are judged by a group comprised of Foothill Credit Union employees and Foothill Impact Foundation Board members. All decisions are final. The Scholarship Committee cannot provide any information on the status of the applications. Please do not call.
