Direct Deposit services are free, and they ensure that you receive your pay on time and in a safe, convenient way. You may be able to have access to your funds sooner, up to two days in advance* and make fewer trips to the credit union. You can also arrange Direct Deposit for pension checks, Social Security benefits and other recurring payments.
Set-up Direct Deposit. Here's How:

Your Member (account) Number + the Share ID: a 3-digit number added to your member number to indicate which sub-account

Most employers will ask for a voided check to be attached to their direct deposit form. If you didn't order checks, you can have our contact center or one of our branches provide you a temporary check.

To set-up a payroll deduction for a specific portion of your paycheck, use the same information as above, and let your employer know the dedcution amount or percentage you want sent to this account.

$200 Checking Incentive Disclosure
Offer valid for new and existing members of Foothill Credit Union who open a new eligible consumer checking account (Protection Plus Checking, Rewards Checking, or Simply Free Checking) between May 13, 2026 and August 31, 2026. Rebound Checking, Junior Checking, and Teen Checking accounts are not eligible. Existing checking account holders may qualify by opening a new eligible checking account. *To qualify for the $200 incentive, member must establish new qualifying electronic direct deposits totaling at least $2,000 (aggregate) into the new checking account within 90 days of account opening. Qualifying direct deposits include recurring electronic deposits such as payroll, pension, or government benefits (e.g., Social Security). Existing direct deposits moved from one account to another do not qualify. Non-qualifying deposits include, but are not limited to, internal transfers, wire transfers, person-to-person payments, mobile deposits, or cash/check deposits.
Offer code “Checking200” must be provided at account opening and properly recorded to qualify. The $200 incentive will be credited to the qualifying checking account after the end of the calendar month in which the direct deposit requirement is satisfied. Account must be open, active, and in good standing (no negative balance or restrictions) at the time of incentive payout. Limit one incentive per member. Offer not valid with any other checking account promotion. Incentive may be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT or 1099-MISC and is the member’s responsibility to report for tax purposes.
Protection Plus Checking and Rewards Checking are variable rate accounts. Rates may change after account opening. Annual Percentage Yield (APY) accurate as of the last dividend declaration date. Protection Plus Checking and Rewards Checking currently earn 3.00% APY on balances under $2,500; 0.75% APY on balances from $2,500.01 to $5,000; 0.25% APY on balances from $5,000.01 to $10,000; and 0.10% APY on balances over $10,000. Simply Free Checking is a non-dividend-bearing account and does not earn APY. No minimum balance is required to earn the stated APY. No minimum deposit is required to open a checking account. Member Referral Disclosure
New member must qualify for membership. Referring and new members referred by an existing member will receive $100.00 deposited into their account upon the new member satisfying the following requirements: (1) open a qualifying share and checking (2) set up a recurring direct deposit of at least $500.00 per month; or funds any Foothill consumer loan. The direct deposit must first hit the newly referred member’s account before any incentive is given. There is a 90 day time frame to fulfill the direct deposit or loan funded requirement for the new member and referrer to receive the incentive.
