Disaster Assistance Program

Foothill offers a range of programs to support members in times of natural disasters, government shutdowns, union strikes, or other emergency situations, addressing their immediate needs.

Natural Disaster Relief Loans

0% percent interest rate loan for members with direct deposit, loan amount up to $8,000 up to 24mths term. Members without direct deposit will be charged an interest rate of 5%
Temporary interest only payments on existing loans up to 6 months
Mortgage loan forbearance up to 90 days
Up to 90-day payment extensions on existing FFCU loans (no fee)

Note: All Disaster Relief loans have a 90 day first payment deferment.

Fees and/or Penalties Waived for:

Cashier checks
Certificate withdrawals
Club account

We can also provide free expedited replacement of MasterCard Credit and Debit Cards.

Government Shutdown/Union Strike Loan Program

Loan amounts are calculated on your 6 month average direct deposit prior to the interruption of pay. Loans have a 0% APR and are available up to a maximum loan amount of $8,000. There are no fees or interest charges associated with this loan. This loan is to be repaid in full when payroll resumes. For those facing a full-time furlough a 0% loan will be offered during the furlough period then the rate will increase to 5 percent. Terms up to 24 months.
For members without direct deposit, we offer a loan up to $4,000 with an interest rate of 5%.
Member must provide proof of employment status.

Note: Credit will be reviewed for all disaster assistance loans.
