Training & Development Manager - Arcadia Branch Teller (Full-time)

Foothill Credit Union is looking for an experienced and motivated Training & Development Manager to join our team.  This is a full-time position that is located at our main branch in Arcadia, CA.

The Training & Development Manager is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, conducting and directing training and development programs for team members at all levels of the credit union that support our strategic direction.  This position oversees the training department and evaluates training effectiveness and measures training impact.  Exercises discretion in deciding which materials or programs to use in developing training plans.


  • Designing and developing training curriculum and associated training materials for all team members at various levels
  • Conducts individual and team skills gap analyses; acts as liaison with managers to conduct needs assessments to ensure training needs are met
  • Ability to select and or design the ideal training methods or activities for a particular purpose and audience (online, role playing, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc.)
  • Researches, designs and develops technical and user manuals to support training
  • Conducts course evaluations as part of an overall improvement process; reviews and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions
  • Implements revisions to course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness
  • Familiar with both traditional and modern job training methods, trends and techniques and best practices
  • Creates accurate record-keeping system of all trainings and staff that complete them
  • Create training schedule for the year and implement it in a timely manner
  • Ordering training supplies, materials, refreshments and snacks for trainings
  • Coordinate budget spending, material production and distribution, and other resources to ensure that operations are managed within authorized budgets

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience developing, coordinating and leading training classes
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience with credit union products, marketing and cross selling preferred
  • Experience in human resources, sales and computer based training and measurement systems helpful
  • Proactive communicator, problem solver and goal oriented
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and handle various projects and responsibilities
  • Must have solid oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate with minimum supervision

Foothill Credit Union is searching for an experienced Executive Assistant to the CEO. The work involves extensive personal contact with our CEO, Executive Team and Board and Supervisory Committee members. Your activities will be broad and varied, including managing calendars, preparing meeting material, drafting and editing correspondence, developing reports, coordinating travel and more.

The position requires someone who has a professional communication style, pays close attention to detail, has great organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple high priority requests and meet tight deadlines. 

We are looking for an individual with the highest level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and someone who is passionate about communicating and promoting the vision and goals of the credit union.

As an Executive Assistant your core responsibilities will include:
• Coordinates weekly and monthly meetings with heavy calendar management responsibilities
• Organizes and prepares meeting material for board, executive team and other various committee meetings
• Responsible for organizing high-level executive reports with ability to manage digital files
• Create legal documents, write legal letters and correspondence, as well as business editing of all executive reports as requested
• Communicating with members of the Board and other committees regarding dates, locations and times of Board and committee meetings
• Scheduling and coordinating business travel for executives, board and committee members
• Coordinating and maintaining critical organizational documents
• Maintaining contract files and legal agreements
• Attending weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings, taking and transcribing notes and follow-up on pending items

• Highly self-motivated, professional and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced financial environment
• Two year college level instruction in Business Management or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years work experience in administrative support, preferable in a Credit Union environment
• Must be proficient with a variety of software programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to read/understand financial statements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to interact with peers, all levels of management, Board members and vendors in a professional manner
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail; meticulous follow-up skills
• Energetic, goal-orientated, team player with excellent work ethics
• Must be flexible and work at a quick pace
